What will you be doing?

VEOLIA Water Technologies & Solutions (VWTS) is a worldwide leader in water recovery, treatment and reuse. We design, supply and operate a range of water systems – from food and beverage applications, to municipal water, to microelectronics ultrapure water and heavy industrial wastewater treatment. Our portfolio includes chemicals & monitoring solutions, start-up & operation, membrane & ion exchange products, and custom engineered equipment.

 

The EHS Field Manager will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for the West region, as well as leading a team of 3 EHS resources and being the central point of contact for the NAM CMS Field team.

 

This position will implement, maintain, and improve all aspects of the company's EHS program including compliance, health and safety program development, compliance with applicable federal, state / local requirements This role requires sufficient experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to affect short-term and some long-term business goals and safe solutions for our business and customers we serve. 

 

Specific activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of three EHS resources, including setting goals, monitoring performance, and fostering professional development.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align EHS objectives with organizational goals and initiatives.

  • Use influencing skills to ensure a strong EHS culture is valued by commercial, engineering, manufacturing, and field services leadership.

  • Identify, develop, and drive processes simplification and improvement for the NAM distributed workforce team.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.

  • Identify emerging EHS issues and trends and develop strategies to address them effectively.

  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, and managers to increase awareness and promote adherence to safety protocols.

  • Foster and comply with procedures for reporting and investigating EHS incidents, including near-misses, accidents, and environmental spills.

  • Lead incident investigations to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, worksites, and equipment to assess compliance with EHS regulations and company standards.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for EHS-related inquiries and communications for CMS West and NAM CMS Field.

  • Support customer EHS inquiries and discussions as they are related to conduct of Field activities.

  • Lead / Assist in special projects as assigned including risk reduction initiatives, Gensuite management, and internal program audits.

  • Collaborate and coach business team members to create a culture where inclusion and diversity are valued.

  • have willingness to travel as needed to visit worksites and support team members.

  • have experience with root cause analysis methods (Apollo, FMEA, Bow-tie, Fishbone, Tap Root, etc.)

  • have demonstrated EHS risk recognition and auditing skills (project / field work)

 

Core Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS, engineering, science or technical field

  • Must have minimum of 10 years of demonstrated EHS leadership experience with a health and safety focus.

  • Routine travel required

  • Communicating EHS expectations effectively through leveraging of technical and business proficiency with client stakeholders, sub-contractors and internal project team members

  • Removing obstacles or guiding the projects, engineering and services team to remove obstacles to ensure work proceeds with a high level of safety standards and awareness. 

  • Building a trusting EHS culture where concerns can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on results and problem solving

 

The compesnation range for this position is $99,500- $130,000, depending on expereince.
