POSITION SUMMARY

Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

 

Schedule is 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•    Compute amounts, such as space available, and shipping, storage, and demurrage charges, using calculator or price list.  
•    Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power 

•    Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.   

•    Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust 
•    Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety 
•    Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, 
•    Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.         
•    This list is not all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation and management of the site.
 

REQUIREMENTS
•    Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a chemical manufacturing warehouse environment with hazardous materials
•    Willing and able to drive a fork truck and pass certification

•    Willing to work overtime as needed

 

DESIRED SKILLS

•    High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

•    Associate's Degree (two-year college or technical school)
•    Minimum of 2 years related experience with hazardous materials
•    Minimum of 1 years analytical testing experience 
•    Working knowledge of SAP
•    Excellent communication and documentation skills
•    Attention to detail and strong math skills
•    Strong computer skills
•    Team player, individual thinker
•    Customer focused; positive attitude
