Role Summary :

The Application Engineer will be responsible for providing Membrane Chemical Applications technical expertise and supporting new product initiatives to assist the commercial & service teams in maintaining and growing utility chemicals business profitably in South Asia.

Essential Functions:

1. Commercial Application Support

• Provide technical support for commercial team on Memchem applications at key customer sites. Develop action plans and drive execution to solve the toughest technical problems.
• Conduct echnical trainings for sales team; attend/support customer meetings or seminars and present technical information.
• Drive and support commercial deployment/launch of new products or technologies.

2. Product Management Support

• Must be willing and able to lead new product, technology, tools and development projects. Support or lead NPI (New Product Introduction) and DMP (Direct Material Productivity) initiatives as needed
• Stay abreast of new industry developments and competitive offerings; work with product management to develop and execute action and communication plans with the commercial teams.
• Support PM (Product Manager) to develop new applications growth areas through market research and commercial inputs; promote products and services to potential and existing customers.

3. Technical Leadership

• Act as a technical expert in Memchem Applications.
• Create and publish technical content for case histories, best practice, and external technical conferences or magazines.

Qualifications /Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or science (Chemistry/chemical or environmental preferred)
• 5+ years of Membrane Chemical applications experience, preferably exposure to multiple regions/ geography.
• Ability to travel domestically 25%-45% as required.

Desired Characteristics:

• Deep domain knowledge in Ultrafiltration & Reverse Osmosis systems
• Strong organizational, analytical and project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
