Summary:

  • Integration (Intermediate): Integrates activities and direction across specific workgroup for multiple region. Manages more broader functional level though specialists, technical lead and Individual Contributor

 

Responsibilities 

  • Able to review Equipment and Piping Layout based on 3D Model Extraction, Support marking, Support detailing, Isometric drawings to meet project schedule and submittal requirement
  • Able to guide modelers & develop complicated Balance of Plant layouts, including drawings like PFD/PID as per mark-ups, Equipment Layout/Single Line Pipe Routing based on extract from 3D Model, Isometrics/Piping & Pipe Support Layout, fabrication drawings, Bill of Material based on Internal or Client specifications to meet project schedule and submittal requirement.
  • Able to estimate accurate budget hours for the completion of the assigned task/project
  • Able to manage a small team of designers to successfully meet scheduling demands for all piping deliverables utilizing 3D Modeling software.
  • Assist CAD Admin team on creating and developing reports, status progress, MTOs and checking methods using 3D Modeling Software
  • Co-ordinates all the Layout and Piping engineering, Piping design and equipment layout functions to meet the objectives of a Project. Able to do Project Coordination with other discipline.
  • Expert knowledge for providing mentorship and coaching to the broader design team on 3D Modeling/Support Spacing/identify & resolve clashes/ review and sign-off 2D Deliverables along with accurate Bill of Materials adding value addition for Engineered system as per Suez Processes or Client Specification to meet project schedule and submittal requirement
  • Organize and manage all aspects of the workload of a team of piping discipline engineers and designers, within the parameters of a project schedule.
  • Develops systems/improves methodology/systems to minimize/prevent technical problems with the overall aim to improve technical performance.
  • Able develop Vessel fabrication, Pipe Support drawings with accurate fabrication details by guiding piping modelers/process designers along with checklists.
  • Review and sign off 3D deliverables against P&ID / 3D Model for correctness and fabricability.
  • Review input echo of the pipe stress analysis / reports against design requirements
  • Recognize and report all scope changes or trends that may cause a cost impact to the project in GCM tool with proper change log management in place.
  • Responsible for the issuance of Equipment layout and Piping design document and drawing.
  • Shall act as a technical coach and mentor to the team. Direct & supervise Layout and Piping engineers providing expertise and ensures the application of correct standards in the design and development of projects.
  • Identifies needs for product development by maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of competitors’ products regarding performance, cost, technology, and design, and report this knowledge further to involved parties in the organization.
  • Knowledge on International codes and standards (ASME B31.1, B31.3, ASME BPVC, B36.10M, B16.20, B16.5, B16.11, B1.1, B16.25, B16.10, API RP520, API610 & knowledge on GOST standards is added advantage.
  • Exposure to Water & Wastewater, experience & exposure to oil & gas specifications preferred.
  • Able to review flange leak analysis, Nozzle pro FE Pipe analysis, Hanger Support Selection & Design
  • Experience in various water treatment technologies like Pre-treatment, Clarification, Membrane biological systems, Ultra-filtration, Reverse & Forward Osmosis, Zero liquid discharge, Ultra-pure water technology, DM process plant engineering, Balance of plant process balance, Chemical systems in various domains.
  • Solid experience in design, selection of critical electromechanical rotating equipment’s, static equipment’s, pressure vessels.
  • Troubleshoots complex problems related to manufacturing and activities that occur on site & Project.
  • Able to conduct internal design review with designers, conduct lessons learnt session with designers, share good engineering practices to improve quality and productivity
  • Review drawings and vendor equipment documentation of advanced complexity within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
  • Perform bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations
  • Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
  • Provide guidance and expertise to structural design personnel to ensure discipline best practices and consistency in design practices are followed within the group.
  • Prepares, or provide direction/supervision for, detailed structural steel, concrete, foundation and site preparation drawings, and structural models for a complete phase of a project requiring the application of theoretical and practical design knowledge.
  • Ensure work is carried out competently and effectively, within time and budget constraints, and that project objectives are satisfied.
  • Ensure integrity of work scope and that all work on projects is carried out in accordance with applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Promote the department policies related to discipline personnel consistently working within the quality management objectives.
  • Identify and maintain software proficiency necessary to enable civil/structural design group to function effectively.
  • Sponsor design change management to maintain project budget and schedule frameworks.
  • Checks work assigned to lower-grade CAD Technicians for technical quality, accuracy and compliance with customer, Company and discipline standards.
  • Performs discipline design tasks which regularly require the application of fundamental engineering concepts.
  • Plan, arrange and schedule work activities for piping modelers, structural & stress analysis team

 

Education/Equivalent:

Engineering Degree -- Mechanical / Civil / Structural with 15+yrs of relevant piping engineering experience, including supervisory or lead position experience.
