The Global Process & Digitization-lead will report into Director – Procurement, Process & Digitization.  

Manager,  Process and Digitization will  be responsible for identifying and driving strategic Business Process and Continuous Improvement initiatives across the Global Procurement Function. This will be done by leveraging industry best practices, analyzing leading and lagging process indicator metrics, and using LSS tools, such as value stream mapping, process orchestration, process mining, change management, etc. The Global Process and Digitization leader  will be responsible for instilling a mindset of process simplification among stakeholders across the organization. In partnership with internal functional stakeholders and business partners, the Global process & digitization leader will drive Business Process transformation by streamlining processes & adopting   Digital Technologies, thereby optimizing resources, enabling achievement of Procurement strategic goals and delivering sustainable value.

 

Specific responsibilities:

  • Develop and build a plan to implement Process & Digital Excellence Framework for Procurement function that will enable wing-to-wing process optimization and transformation
  • Assess, categorise & prioritise processes based on complexity & risks to identify opportunities of standardization and improvements, on a continuous basis.
  • Work with global cross-functional teams for Process standardization, improving repeatability, eliminating non-value add and reducing deviations in process, as part of Journey to “Zero Defect” Vision
  • Implement automation (RPA) and adaptation of digital tools by the procurement function for improved productivity, better visibility to stakeholders and optimization of resources.
  • Collaborate to develop standard processes for (but not limited to) ‘Procure-to-Pay, Center of Excellence concept, RFP/RFQ, supplier change management etc.
  • Deliver on KPIs for process excellence and digitization – Improved transparency (adherence & deviations), reduced transaction cost (cost saved per $ Spend), lesser TAT and improved Compliance to processes
  • Drive change management for achieving functional Process and Digital excellence by engaging internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead, Collaborate & partner with CPO, Peers, Team and cross functional partners and functions to create a best-in-class Global Procurement organization.

 

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in, Engineering,  candidate with a master's degree in Business management
  • Lean Six Sigma - Black Belt or Master Black Belt Certification
  • 8-12 years’ experience in Procurement/ Supply Chain function/ Process excellence/ Quality Management or equivalent role, with knowledge of Process excellence, Digital tools and continuous improvement initiative.
  • Holds thorough expertise in Org Wise ERP Deployment in Large Organisations.
  • Ability to articulate and draw up End to End Business Processes.
  • Subject Matter expert possessing  Domain knowledge & Expertise on Procurement Processes like S2C – Source to Contract , P2P – Procure to pay and other deliverables in  Procurement landscape.
  • IT Project Management Skill sets.
  • Certified SAP MM Consultant with expertise in managing Vendor Master Data.
  • Working knowledge on MS Share-point, Power Automate and Nintex.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a lean leader with demonstrated ability in organizational transformation

 

Desired Qualifications :

  • Business Process Excellence and CI: Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification. Must be knowledgeable in business process analysis and continuous improvement methodology understanding how to use data to drive decision making. Capable of understanding which tools to use in typical business situation. Trained practitioner of lean, value stream mapping, process orchestration, process mining, change management, DMAIC, DFSS, Kaizen, etc.
  • Problem Solving: Expertise in solving complex problems and transforming business performance and process through the application of Lean and Six Sigma techniques. Proven track record of bringing order and structure to functions and organizations quickly
  • Global Acumen: Ability to effectively drive outcomes in large, matrixed organizations and understands how to navigate geographies, cultures, relationships, etc. Can drive work across the globe because of demonstrated excellence in professionalism, professional communication, presence, a high degree of integrity, and willingness/strength to do the right thing in difficult situations.
  • Change Management: Successful change agent; ability to make the case for lean, demonstrate immediate impact and drive cultural change within the business and on campus. The ideal candidate has been through complex change and tough situations; bringing a will to win with strong followership.
  • Project Management: Must be knowledgeable in project management and understand the project planning process. Capable of identifying when a project is at risk and able to facilitate and lead the team to resolve issues and re-plan as needed to get the project back on track.
  • Strategic Mindset: Strategic mindset with hands-on approach focusing on the bigger picture
  • Facilitation: Must be able to facilitate difficult working sessions with all levels of organization and handle positive and negative feedback and inputs appropriately.
  • Customer Focus: Strong commercial focus on customer and end user experience
  • Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to effectively build partnerships and take a relationship-based approach in working with internal and external stakeholders at every level of the organization to deliver process efficiencies, cost savings, minimize operational risks and increase process simplification. Comfortable with constructive conflict and debate normally associated with change
  • Program Management / Office Tools: Very strong organizational, project planning, scheduling and risk management skills and demonstrated experience using project management tools and software Proficient in the use of all MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Visio etc.)
  • Executive Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate key messages to senior leadership audiences and effectively manage key stakeholders
  • Positive Attitude: Be able to cast a positive attitude and evoke positive responses from others inclusive of those with conflicting priorities
