Role Summary :

Logistic specialist leads the logistics operations for local and export shipments. She/he is responsible for on-time shipments with optimized freight cost and works on improvement in the processes for better customer satisfaction.

 

Essential Responsibilities / Expectations :

Responsible for planning domestic logistics – daily/weekly

  • Connecting with channel partners, account managers, customers for preparing optimal shipment schedule
  • Working with planner to consolidate the shipments to optimize the logistics cost
  • Working with sourcing team to keep track on requirements of all imports and flow RFQs on time
  • Float RFQs for all export shipments on time in line with material readiness dates
  • Prepare documentation as per the compliance and requirements from the customer on time and share with relevant stakeholders and customers (Invoice, E way bill, LR copy, COA, DG, Non-DG declaration, SDF, FEMA, Packing list, Fumigation certificate, SCOMET, MMD, FTA, COO, AIFTA, CEFA etc.)
  • Update LORC codes for late shipments and re-ATP the orders as per the standards
  • Coordinate for inventory accuracy in the warehouses
  • Maintain shipment trackers for domestic, export and imports with freight costs
  • Raise purchase orders on time for service providers and coordinate for on-time payment
  • Track and analyze freight cost region wise
  • Managing contractor employees of the function
  • Coordinate with Warehouse team for on-time shipments and resolving issues
  • Coordinate with Account managers/finance/planner team for removal of blocks

 

Educational Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

 

Experience Required 4-6 years in logistics, warehouse operations

 

Key Skills required

Knowledge on import/export/customs regulatory requirements
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement Best Practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity

Working experience in SAP

Knowledge on inventory management

Preferably IMDG/IATA certified
