Role Summary  

Static Equipment Engineer ensures safe and economic mechanical design for the SOGS’s range of process packages. 

Ensures the mechanical requirements of the packaged equipment are correctly designed and properly integrated with each other. 

Essential Responsibilities / Expectations  

1. Review Pressure Vessel documents in accordance with the project specifications.  

2. Generate Pressure Vessel Calculations in line with ASME Sec VIII Div 1 or 2 using PV Elite software and/or excel spreadsheets. 

3. Review vendor mechanical designs and documentation 

4. Identify key design factors through detailed review of project specifications 

5. Optimize designs to minimize overall cost of company’s products 

6. Ensure Vessel fabrication drawings are technically accurate 

7. Ensure that Vessel fabrication drawings clearly present information to the shop floor 

8. General knowledge of Design, 3D modelling and drafting software 

9. Address technical enquiries and comments from clients and inspectors 

Educational Qualification 

Engineering Degree – Mechanical / Experience in Mechanical Engineering 

4 years’ Experience of mechanical design in Oil & Gas or related Industry 

Packaged equipment experience. Including systems with rotating equipment would be desirable.
