Job Summary

 

The individual in this role supervises, monitors, and coordinates the daily activities of employees within a designated work area. They utilize advanced principles, theories, and concepts to integrate activities and provide direction to small, moderate, or large groups, even if those groups are not within their core area of expertise. This requires a high level of skill and expertise.

 

Essential Technical Responsibilities / Expectations

Must-Have Requirements
1. In depth knowledge in Instrumentation & Control System Engineering fundamentals.
2. Preparing Instrument Index, Instrument Datasheets, IO list, Hook-up, Cable Schedule, Loop Diagram etc.
3. Preparing Automated Valve List, Automated Valve Datasheets, Solenoid Valves datasheets, Pressure Regulating Valve Datasheet etc.
4. Preparation of PLC/DCS system specification, Architecture etc.
5. Ability to read and implement Tender/ Client specifications
6. Knowledge in International standards (ATEX, NEMA, IEC 61508/61511 etc.).
7. Knowledge in Process documents like P&ID, PFD, Mass Balance, Process Description etc.
8. Knowledge in Piping documents like PMS, Line List, Valve List, Nozzle Schedule etc.
9. Guide 3D Modellers on instrument installation on 3D model development
10. Review and approval of Basic and Details engineering documents.
11. Review technical offers and preparation of TBE for Instrumentation and Control system (PLC/ DCS, RIO, Field Instruments, Automated Valves (ON-OFF Valves, Control Valves, SOV, PRV etc.) inline with codes & client specifications.
12. Review and Approval of Post order vendor documentation for Instrumentation and Control System (PLC/ DCS, RIO, Field Instruments, Automated Valves (ON-OFF Valves, Control Valves, SOV, PRV etc.)
13. Exposure to conducting inspection and report for PLC/DCS Panels.
14. Budgeting hours and controlling On time and high-quality submission of Instrumentation and Control scope of work
15. Handled complex projects with complete basic and detail engineering of Instrumentation and Control System scope

 

Good To Have Requirements (That Supports future Career progression in the Role)
1. Review and Sign off FAT/SAT procedures for PLC/DCS.
2. Preparing and Reviewing HAZOP & SIL study and calculation procedures.
3. Instrumentation and Control System respective vendor contacts and selection of correct Instrumentation and Control System items

 

Educational Qualification

Engineering Degree –Electronics / Instrumentation & Control Engineering
Minimum 8 to 12 years’ Experience in Water, Power, Oil & Gas or related Industry.
