Project Engineer / Project mérnök

Scope:
As per the development strategy of SWTS Engineering, he/she is in charge to cover the position of Engineering lead for projects in Hungary in priority and more largely in Europe, he/she responds directly to the Europe Engineering Leader  who will fix the target, the activities and the projects to be involved.
Responding directly to Engineering Manager Europe, he/she contributes to the definition and implementation of the European Engineering Strategy.
Position will be filled in Hungary.

Required education and experience:

• Master’s degree in engineering and science or equivalent
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in operational positions as project design engineer lead or equivalent in an EP/EP+Installation context
• Strong engineering/design background in industrial environment (water treatment, food, pharma, oil & gas, nuclear)
• Excellent grasp on basic and detailed engineering documentation packages for large scale projects (several thousands of engineering hours)
• Very good hands on project engineering team transversal management
• Familiar with site activities in Europe and CIS
• Strong leadership and ability to understand complex matrix organizations
• Ability to work with a distributed and multicultural team
• Ability to abstract while having a strong sense of pragmatism
• Ability to execute and implement transverse medium and long-term projects
• Experience to manage and work with remote engineering production Center
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong EHS & quality culture
• Availability to frequent mission abroad

Tasks and responsiblities

• Manage and is accountable for project specific basic/detailed engineering/design activities (process, mechanical, E&I, control) in terms of budget, quality, schedule
• Coordinate with project management, quality and sourcing on your projects
• Coordinate relationships with engineering contractors (across Europe and India)
• Lead technical discussions with customer, vendors and within Europe engineering team
• Develop, control and release engineering deliverables (P&IDs, equipment list, layouts, guide drawings, calculation notes, 3D model & piping, isometrics, data sheets, specification, electricity, instrumentation, control …) as per project budget and schedule.
• Ensure the compliance with our Quality Management System
• Material specifications development for procured items, coordination with potential vendors, technical bid evaluation execution.
• Technical calls/face-to-face meetings (with vendors/customers/design institutes)
• Support project manager on potential engineering change orders and cost reductions during project execution.
• Purchase requisitions/purchase request preparation/verification before issue.
• Selection of equipment according to the technical requirements of the process department (project technologists)
• Liaise with Site and Commissioning Manager during site activities
• Support tenders from technical/engineering side (Customer specifications review/evaluation, potential project impact evaluation)
