The Procurement Manager/Head manages a team of procurement buyers team that coordinate the supply chain activities from the kick-off through execution until the project close out, in accordance with the project strategy, project team, and the Supply Chain policy. The Procurement Manager/Head manages a team that executes the purchasing process for shipments to our plants, sub-contractors and supplier drop shipments to our customers. The Procurement Manager/Head is accountable to complete supply chain activities on all Projects executed by and for the region.  Also accountable to Regional Projects procurement Leader to forecast and deliver financial commitments and resource needs.


  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the market to ensure best value and practices are maintained
  • Developing a procurement business plan for the organization and ensuring that it is communicated.
  • Acting as the one main contact point for organizational procurement related queries.
  • Establishing relationships with regional P&L leader and Finance to ensure that procurement gets aligned with their objectives, and to enlist their support.
  • Management of procurement team in procurement, contracting, transactional purchasing, supplier management, and miscellaneous internal procurement support activities.
  • Responsible for participating and contributing in all global procurement efforts to efficiently and effectively implement strategies to maximize the value for the benefit of organization
  • Outlines strategies and plans to minimize cost and time variances. ​
  • Collaborates with Project Management and Engineering on the material targets and resource requirements defined and committed in ITO.  
  • Coordinates with Category Management the execution of the category strategies. ​
  • Coordinates with Supplier Quality Engineering the supplier’s approval, qualification and quality plan. ​
  • Validates Project Material Evolution reported by Category and Reason Code for the Region. ​
  • Reports on material variances (ECN, SDR and Timing Change) for the summary and develops initiatives to continuously improve. ​
  • Develop and participate in a post project review forum to identify areas of improvement and opportunities.
  • Responsible for receiving and ensuring quality and completeness of Purchase Requisitions with Engineering / Material Planning​.
  • Drives key metrics around PO cycle time, deflation, on-time delivery, and payment terms
  • Manages supplier selection and negotiation on all non-Category supplied items​.
  • Ensures Purchase Order modification is done based on ECN or SDR and coordinates with Category Management and Sourcing Project Leadership.
  • Collaborates with Sourcing Project Leadership to ensure all information is accurately captured in the Project Purchasing Dashboard.
  • Supports payments to suppliers.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management from an accredited university or college. 


Desired Characteristics:

  • 15+ experience in increasing roles in purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain.
  • Project Management or Team Leadership experience.
  • Must have superior communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must be proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Above average analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of working in a team, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and organizing.
  • Possess ability to read and understand engineering drawings with the ability to communicate technical information to various internal and external customers.
  • Flexible and adaptable to ever changing priorities.
  • ERP experience required, preferably with SAP.
  • Preferred Six Sigma training or equivalent quality certification
  • Ability to work independently. Strong problem-solving skills.
