Job scope

Veolia is expanding its mobile water Service Centres into Belgium and requires a new Service Centre Supervisor.

Location: Herstal.

 

Working within the Europe Plant Operations team this role is to take the lead of the quality checks of mobile water equipment.

 

This is a hands on role with the successful candidate directly responsible for carrying out the checks as well as leading a small team.   

 

This is a new role and the successful candidate will be part of a large business expansion

 

 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Drive the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks

  • Lead a growing team of Production Operators tasked with the Quality Checking and maintenance of mobile water units.

  • Managing / carrying out the day to day Quality Check operations and schedule to meet production deadline.    

  • Coordinate with the central planning team to set overall production schedules.

  • Carry out maintenance and repairs to the mobile water units and fixed QC equipment such as pipe repairs and electrical fault finding

  • Working to produce and integrate procedures to match the other European Service Centres.  

  • Strive to prompt housekeeping and continuous improvement in the Service Centre.

  • Coordinate with the existing on site teams for actions such as forklift movements and movement of the large mobile water units.  

  • Keep tracking of spare parts

  • On occasion this person will take the lead on the commissioning / final testing of newly built mobile water assets with which will require additional troubleshooting.

  • 100% completion of online training and participation in external trains required.

  • Management of EHS compliance calendar tasks.

  • Full usage of Veolia Safety tools in order to track Concerns, House keeping actions and regulatory tasks.

  • Heavy involvement in department housekeeping.

  • High level involvement in one or more elements of the EHS Framework.

  • Other type of equipment internal training

  • Improvement of electrical consumption and efficiency of the plant to achieve the maximum cost savings.

  • Maintain electrical and control systems in containers, trailers and skids. Including lighting, direct on-line, instrumentation, pumps / motors, etc.

  • Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work.

  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records 

  • Maintain the integrity of work rules and processes

  • Participate in trainings and team meetings and suggesting possible improvements.

  • Supervising and directing on site contractors when required.

 

The Supervisor can be required to perform additional tasks not mentioned above in line with the business need.

Required Qualifications



 

 

 

 

 

Desired Qualifications 

  • Highly Computer literate,  Google tools are an advantage 

  • Experience in industrial electrical works

  • Previously worked in Industrial area, assembly or other operational role

  • Proved record of EHS and Quality awareness

  • Experience in the Water treatment industry is an advantage

  • Fork-lift driver or willing to learn

  • Willingness to travel to UK Service Centre and customer sites regularly.

 

 

 

  • People leadership experience

  • Experience working with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC software including fault finding 

  • An electrical qualification

  • Drawing software training or experience

  • Experience of minor project management

  • First Aider / Mental Health First Aider desirable
