CMS Regional Logistics Specialist
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The CMS Regional Logistics Specialist is responsible for leading the execution related to transportation, distribution, warehousing and remote tank monitoring in the defined region. The incumbent will drive optimization of a complex network while driving cost out of the business, improvements into the operation, and facilitate a strategic outlook that will better serve all stakeholders such as Customer, Sales, Manufacturing and CSC.
Key responsibilities include:
* Manage and support Veolia WTS’s logistics, warehousing and distribution, remote tank monitoring operations in a defined region.
* Manage and lead the external warehouse operations for Turkey:
- developing an optimum warehousing/distribution model to drive the most efficient flow of materials and products at a value cost,
- assisting in price negotiating, terms and conditions,
- developing a comprehensive data suite of warehousing metrics, summary and detail, to drive service performance, cash through improved inventory management and cost management.
* Manage and lead the remote tank monitoring program for Benelux, DACH region:
- Customer / tank setup
- Remote tank replenishment planning
- Focus on cost efficiency (optimized shipping)
- Maintain service level (zero tank run dry)
* Actively participate in developing a long-term strategy for Veolia WTS logistics to deliver world-class logistics driving optimization, standardization, and overall efficiency.
* Partner with the key stakeholders, including OTR, manufacturing, commercial teams (sales & service) and PSI, driving continuous improvement ensuring on-time, complete and compliant deliveries to our customers.
* Participate in councils in the region to optimize our logistics processes across P&L's and/or Veolia businesses.
Manage and follow up the logistics budget for the region, this includes:
- Monthly reporting of freight spend in cooperation with SC Finance;
- Identify gaps and trends;
- Auditing of freight invoices in close cooperation with AP and SC Finance
* Responsible for driving reduction in costs by using network optimization tools and strategies.
* Manage, coordinate and follow up performance of the 3rd party logistics providers for the region.
KPI’s
- OTC performance based upon CDD
- On-time pickup performance
- VCP for Freight/Warehousing
- Carrier related complaints, both quality and safety related
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Master/Bachelor’s degree
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics, customer service or related functions.
* Showing business/financial acumen, potential to lead and set direction, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, solve complex problems, and drive change at all levels of the organization
* Languages: speaking/writing English fluently is a must.
Desired:
* Experience working with SAP.
* Knowledge of French, Dutch or Turkish is a plus.
* Experience in project logistics including multifunctional teams in an international environment
* Growth leadership skills demonstrating clear global perspective and understand factors impacting VWTS businesses and suppliers.
