Roles & Responsibilities:

In this challenging role you are responsible for repairing & maintaining our chemical water treatment dosing, measurement & control portfolio in primarily Belgium & Netherlands, with occasional travel to support other regions in North-East Europe. This allows our customers to reduce their water usage & improve their energy efficiency. You provide electrical & mechanical solutions with support of your manager and work directly with the commercial & service teams and our customers. The Repair & Maintenance Technician is a professional service provider.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Comply with integrity and safety as required by Veolia policies
  • Comply with Veolia WTS quality standards and initiatives
  • First line trouble shooting
  • Execution of Repairs & Maintenance
  • Installation of Pilots / Field trials / temporary installations when required
  • Communication is professionally with customers to explain work planned and work executed
  • Provide technical explanation to customers / employees
  • Back-up for Repair & Maintenance Manager
  • Back-up / support for OTR Construction Engineer
  • Back-up for cost calculation of maintenance contracts
  • Back-up for requesting price quotations & negotiation with vendors
  • Travel outside of the geographic area when needed
  • Participating in the local team meetings to share best practices

 

Qualifications preferred to do this role:

  • The candidate has a degree in electro engineering / process automation or proven knowledge / experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing. French is a plus.
  • Time management skills.
  • Can do & practical attitude.
  • Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
  • Affinity with mid – heavy & large industry.
  • IT competent (AutoCAD, MS Project, Visio, ..) is a plus
  • Willing to travel within Belgium & Netherlands, and outside if needed.
  • Good problem-solving capability.
  • Team player

 

Experience preferred to do this role:

0-3 years experience

 

Skills preferred to do this role:

  • Knowledge and proven ability in the execution of long-term service agreements.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Understanding of HSE regulations and HSE policies in industrial environment.
  • Interacts well with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of electronics, instruments, ability to read P&ID schematics
