Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (VWTS) is a worldwide leader in water recovery, treatment, and reuse. We design, supply, and operate a range of water systems – from food and beverage applications, to municipal water, to microelectronics ultrapure water and heavy industrial wastewater treatment. Our portfolio includes chemicals & monitoring solutions, start-up & operation, membrane & ion exchange products, and custom engineered equipment.

Process Engineers on the Process Engineering team are key partners for our customers in the North American market. They are creative technical leaders responsible for supporting the successful sale, execution, and operation of complete system solutions for our customers’ water treatment needs.  To win new opportunities, they apply deep technical knowledge of our solutions and technologies combined with an understanding of the customer’s process, the market, regulations, and our competitors to continually balance capital and operating costs, and technical risk with commercial viability.

Wastewater Process Engineers are responsible for the process design of wastewater treatment solutions for our Food and Beverage customers, including wastewater characterization, design basis, unit process selection and design, equipment sizing, and process guarantees.  They use a variety of biological treatment technologies, including membrane bioreactors (MBR), mixed bed bioreactors (MBBR), biological nutrient removal (BNR), and low and high rate anaerobic digestion processes.  They evaluate system operation under both design and upset conditions, identify potential points of failure, and participate in detailed hazard reviews (HAZOPs).  They also engage in piloting and treatability studies as part of design, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Process Engineers build long term relationships with our customers and key experts in the industry and share technical expertise in industry forums to position Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (WTS) as experts within the market.  They serve as experts within the business, participating in innovation solutions, technologies, and markets, and training and mentoring others in process design.
