As our Sr. Technical Consultant with our Water Technologies Division, you'll play a critical role in business retention while supporting profitable business expansion in the industrial water space. We're looking for someone with natural curiosity. You're a good problem solver and be able to assess a customer situation from both a sales and technical point of view. You'll leverage your understanding of water treatement and process technology to develop improvement plans. You communication skills will be critical when it comes to collaborating with, and sometimes influencing, the sales team to make sure we're pursuing the right business to keep us moving forward. Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide technical support for the commercial sales team in water treatment and / or process technology. Develop a complete understanding of our waterside chemical, equipment, and service offerings

  • Understand individual customer concerns, develop corrective action plans and communicate to the commercial team. Gather industry intelligence and market trends to better shape corrective actions or new business development. Document competitors’ activities and assess potential market moves.

  • Make technical presentations to all levels of customer organization. Develop engineering and installation work scopes, schedules and cost estimates to facilitate total scope project offerings 

  • Be a leader and coach who finds potential improvement opportunities, develops solutions and mentors the sales team.

 

Core Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical) or a relevant Technical degree (Biology, Chemistry) from an accredited university or college

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time

  • 10+ years in industrial water treatment sales and service.

  • Ability and willingness to reside in assigned region, or within customer proximity requirements, as required

  • Work frequently in a heavy industrial environment requiring use of Personal Safety Equipment and exposure to noise, dust, chemicals and other similar irritants typical of those found in refinery, chemical plants, power plants, etc., as required

  • Ability and willingness to comply with stringent drug testing and background check requirements set by customer safety requirements, as required.
