Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions has an opening for a Laboratory Technician based in the Tomball, TX Technology Center. This role will provide analytical testing support for the Customer Analytical Services Laboratory.

 

 

Position Title: Laboratory Technician

 

Essential Responsibilities General Responsibilities

 

  • Perform daily analyses per Standard Operating Procedures guidelines

  • Meet established due dates for all work assigned

  • Ensure quality of all results through adherence to the Quality Management System requirements

  • Follow all EHS policies and procedures

  • Provide support for other laboratory areas as assigned

 

Qualifications / Requirements

 

 

  • Associates degree or equivalent in Chemistry or related field

  • Analytical laboratory experience using state-of-art analytical instrumentation or techniques

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team environment

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent computer skills including both Google and MS Office products

 

 

Desired Characteristics

 

 

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Chemistry or related science

  • Prior experience performing analyses for industrial water or process systems

  • Experience using a LabWare or similar LIMS

  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 (or similar) certified organization

  • Skilled in one or more of the following areas: spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, spectrophotometry, microscopy, electrochemistry, filtrations, extractions, gravimetry, chromatography
