SDI Service Technician
The SDI Service Technician will install & service water purification systems at customer sites. Deliver, set up, exchange, troubleshoot & maintain ion exchange tanks or membrane systems to customers in commercial & industrial applications. Will service & maintain double-pass RO & HERO systems & all pretreatment systems, including performing DI system sanitations. Interfaces with large account customers & provides accurate & timely reports & service recommendations.

Duties & Responsibilities
-
Ensure that correct equipment required for the daily route is loaded, secured & meets quality specs. Load & unload tanks on truck(s) & maintain correct inventory on board truck(s) as required.

Operates, maintains, performs diagnostics on all industrial types of RO systems, including but not limited to membrane exchanges, internal & external profiling, instrument replacement, pretreatment maintenance, chemical metering pump, electrical, relay, I/O A/B.

Maintains contact with customer on site, communicating effectively, politely, & responding to their needs. Maintains good customer relationships. Handles customer issues & inquiries.

Performs maintenance and repairs on equipment to include plumbing, electrical/electronic diagnosis, pumps & motors, & tank level controls.

Rinses ion exchange tanks & membrane systems to customer specifications at sites & ensures quality specifications are met.

Takes water samples & conducts the following tests including but not limited to TDS, resistivity, pH, CO2, Cl2, & hardness.

Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Other Abilities
Preferred:
-
Knowledge of commercial & industrial membrane systems & UV systems.

Knowledge of PLC logic/programing.

Knowledge of ion exchange & membrane theory & operation, as well as pretreatment applications.

Vocational training in applicable fields such as electrical, industrial/mechanical
Education & Experience
Required:
-
HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.

Possess a valid driver's license & clean driving record history
Preferred:
-
Associate’s Degree in electrical, industrial / mechanical, engineering, or water treatment disciplines

College coursework in chemistry
-
Experience driving company vehicles such as panel vans or service trucks
-
Forklift certification/experience or ability to obtain forklift certification.
